About this story

In a cozy blue house at the end of Maple Lane lives a small orange kitten named Clover, with the most curious nose in the whole neighborhood. One golden afternoon, chasing a dry leaf, her whiskers catch a flicker of light beneath the sagging porch steps: a piece of yellowed paper folded into a worn square — a map, with curling ink paths, tiny drawings of trees and fences, and small painted X marks that shimmer silver as moonlight when she presses her paw to them. Near the corner, three faded words: 'Follow. Discover. Share.' And Clover knows, the way kittens simply know things, that she is meant to follow it. So begins a treasure hunt through the neighborhood: a blue-glass marble in the sundial garden, a brass bell from grumbly-kind Bramble the hedgehog at the crooked fence, a sunset ribbon behind the bakery with the most dignified alley cat, Old Tom — each find guided by a new friend, including cheerful Robin, who flies along to see everything, and little Pip, the whiskery mouse guarding a tiny star button in the curb. A sweet, sensory treasure hunt with a feline nose in the lead.
