Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy describes how Access Labs Apps handles your information.

1. Overview

Access Labs Apps ("we", "us", "our") publishes children's stories, family safety tools and printables at accesslabsapps.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.

In short: we hold an email address you have given us, plus the keys that prove what you have bought. We collect nothing at all about your child.

2. What We Collect

Your account email address, if you create an account. It is how you sign in, and it is what links your purchases, Club membership and saved sheets to you.

Your email address, if you join our newsletter or ask for the free printable of the week. We ask for your consent at the moment you sign up, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

Purchase and licence keys. When you buy a book or join the Read-Along Club, the licence key from your receipt is stored against your account so we can confirm your access, and lock it again if the purchase is refunded or cancelled. We never see or store your card number — see section 6 on payments.

What you write to us, if you use the contact form: your name, your email address and your message.

Your own saved content, only when you are signed in and choose to save it: filled-in printable sheets, reading progress, reader preferences, and any storybook you upload. This is visible only to you and to our administrators.

That is the complete list. There is no field anywhere on this site for a child's name, age, birthday, photograph, school or location, and we never ask for one.

3. Nothing About Children

Our stories, read-along narration and printables run in your browser. What a child taps, reads or listens to is not sent to us. We do not create child profiles, we do not ask a child for any information, and we do not try to work out a child's identity from a parent's account. There is therefore no child profile to review, export or delete.

4. Cookies and Browser Storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage for one purpose only: recognizing you while you are logged in, and remembering your own reader settings on your own device.

We do not use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies, we do not build visitor profiles, and we do not embed third-party advertising or analytics scripts.

5. No Advertising, No Selling Your Data

We do not run advertising and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information.

6. Payments

Paid downloads and Read-Along Club memberships are processed by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases in US dollars, and by Razorpay for payments made in Indian rupees (INR).

Your card or bank details are entered on their secure checkout pages and are never shared with us. We receive only confirmation that the payment succeeded, which product was bought, and the licence key that unlocks it. The payment provider's own privacy policy governs the payment details you give them.

7. How We Use Your Information

To send you the free printable or newsletter you asked for and to reply when you contact us.

To confirm your access to a purchased book or Club membership, and to save your own sheets, reading progress and preferences so they are there when you come back.

To keep the site secure and available — for example, limiting repeated form submissions so the service stays up for everyone.

8. Who We Share It With

Only the service providers who host and operate this site on our behalf, under contract, and only as far as needed to run it for you. We do not sell or trade personal information, and we never share it for advertising.

9. How We Protect It

Forms are validated and rate limited on the server. Subscriber, contact and licence records are readable only by our administrators, and messages are stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect what you give us.

10. Your Rights in the United States (COPPA)

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This site is intended for parents, teachers and other adults, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. We do not serve behavioural advertising to anyone.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

11. Your Rights in India (DPDP Act, 2023)

If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to us. We process your email address on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up, and for the legitimate uses the Act allows, such as keeping a record of what you have paid for.

You may ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, nominate another person to exercise your rights for you, and withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect access you have already paid for, but we may not be able to keep providing the service without an email address to reach you.

12. Deleting Your Account and Your Data

Write to contact@accesslabsapps.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm once it is done.

We delete your account, your newsletter subscriber record, your saved printable sheets and reading progress, and any storybooks you have uploaded. We keep a record of a paid purchase for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and then delete it. Book licences and Club memberships are ended when the purchase is cancelled or refunded.

You can also unsubscribe from any email we send using the link at the bottom of it, and delete individual saved sheets yourself while signed in.

13. How Long We Keep It

A newsletter subscriber email is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and keep our records straight. Account details, saved sheets and uploads stay until you ask us to remove them.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is posted here with a new "Last updated" date.

15. Contact Us

Questions about your data, or a request to have it deleted: write to contact@accesslabsapps.com, or use our Contact page.
