About this story
In the golden valley of Sunhaven lives a very special train: Neelo the Blue Train, whose body shines like the deep afternoon sky, whose wheels are edged with gleaming gold, and whose horn always toots twice — once for hello, and once for 'I love you too.' Neelo carries people, packages, fruits, and flowers between villages: the baker's flour, the hospital's medicines, Grandmother Uma's birthday cake. 'I am the thread that connects everyone together,' he tells the butterflies. Follow Neelo through the dark mountain tunnel, across the snowy pass, over the singing Silverstone Bridge, into the storm that ends in a rainbow, and onto a brand-new route through the ancient Whispering Forest, where fireflies blink like tiny green stars. A chapter-style read-aloud full of sound effects about courage, steadiness, and quiet helpfulness.
