About this story

Sparrow wakes up early, stretches his tiny wings, and practices flapping: once, twice! Then he sees it — a tall blue mountain far away — and his heart flutters with a big dream: to fly all the way to the top and see the whole world. But the other birds shake their heads: 'That's too far for little wings.' The heavy words make Sparrow wonder if he should give up — until Wise Owl speaks softly from the old oak: 'Start small. One branch at a time.' So Sparrow flutters to the next tree, lands with a proud little hop, and a small step feels like the beginning of something wonderful. The journey tests him: a gust of wind that tumbles him backward (he flaps again and holds on), a smooth rock for resting (because rest gives strength), Rabbit's bright orange carrot offered kindly ('Friends make hard things easier!'), and a wide rushing river that tightens his chest — until he takes a deep breath and looks for a way across. A gentle, complete journey story about dreams, doubts, and one branch at a time.
