About this story
Mia and Arjun are best friends who love to play together, and today they've found a shiny red toy car with four black wheels that sparkles in the sunlight. They race it back and forth across the smooth floor, laughing and clapping — until Arjun pushes it extra fast, and CRASH! It hits the wall; a wheel pops off and rolls away. The car is broken, and it was an accident. Mia points and says loudly, 'You pushed too hard! You broke our toy car!' Arjun's eyes fill with tears — he didn't mean it. The playroom goes completely quiet, the fun gone. But then Mia remembers something important: before playing, they had made a promise to take care of all their toys together. They were both playing. So Arjun takes a scared, brave breath and whispers, 'I'm sorry, Mia. I didn't mean to break it.' And Mia's angry face melts away: 'I'm sorry too, Arjun. We were both racing the car. It was an accident.' A warm, simple story about accidents, blame, and the promise to care for things together.
